How to Fish Walkthrough

Act 1 — Prologue and the first island

1. Crash into the island — the opening sets the goal: get home.
2. Learn the core loop — catch, kill, sell. See the Beginner Guide.
3. Work towards the boat keys — the prologue route leads to the first boss as you try to leave.
4. Defeat the Spider Crab — the first-island boss. Fight guide.

Act 2 — the second island and beyond

1. Reach island 2 — the first clear world-beat milestone after the Spider Crab.
2. Fight the Sunfish — the second boss in the confirmed order.
3. Keep upgrading — better gear and boat upgrades are the gate to later islands.
4. Giant Piranha on island 3 — requires Modified Leech from the 3-Leech quest; older combat advice needs re-checking after patch 1.0.12. Fight guide.

Act 3 — mid-game to the final bosses

1. Pufferfish — a mid-game wall with its own dedicated fight guide. Fight guide.
2. Albatross, Goblin Shark, Bowhead Whale — the confirmed later bosses, order and requirements pending verification.
3. Mutated Bowhead Whale — the final boss in the community-verified list.

Island names, quest givers and exact unlock requirements for Acts 2–3 are still being verified against the current build — no coordinates or precise triggers are published yet.
