How to Fish on PS5 / Xbox — Current Status
No console version yet. The developer officially said console porting is on the plan — without naming platforms or dates.
Quick answer
How to Fish is not on PS5 or Xbox yet. It is a Windows PC title on Steam, fully Steam Deck Verified, and playable via GeForce NOW. On October 12, 2026 the developer wrote: “We'll be working on a bigger content update, porting to consoles and bugfixes in the coming months.” No platform was named, and no release window exists.
What is officially out today
- Windows PC via Steam (price US$7.99 at launch; Steam Deck Verified since September 1, 2026).
- GeForce NOW streaming from the same patch.
- No Switch/PS5/Xbox listing as of October 20, 2026.

The 10-million-players post also thanks players for patience: “We know we've been quiet for a bit now but we're doing stuff behind the scenes… We'll be working on a bigger content update, porting to consoles and bugfixes in the coming months.” Treat that as a plan statement, not a launch confirmation.
What will change this page

- A store listing for a console SKU.
- Until then, spread “console release” rumors are not evidence — this page updates only on official news.
