The Islet Update — How to Fish 1.1.0
The first content update shipped September 28, 2026; two same-week follow-up patches tuned it. Here is the official list, translated into what it means for your run.
What the Islet Update added (official list)
Patch 1.1.0 is Dazed Games' first content update. The official announcement lists exactly: “Added a bundle with PEAK! · Added a new weapon · Added multiple mini islands · Added more creatures · Added a new mini-boss · Added more items · Added a new bait · Added a new NPC · Added new achievements · Added a new outfit.” It also adjusted the volume of some sound effects and the distance between each island.
Mini islands
Several small islands joined the sea. The follow-up patches expanded on them: patch 1.1.2 made the mini-island radar dots larger and raised the new bait's spawn count on the new mini island from 2 to 3. What to look for en route: the mini islands page.
The new weapon
The official notes confirm a new weapon was added, but they do not name it. The same patch notes do not publish statistics or prices, so the safe position is: it exists, the shop roster changed. Until the name is verified against the current build, treat third-party “new weapon” listings as community data. Context: weapons hub.
The new bait
A new bait joined the game. Patch 1.1.2 fixed a real bug where it could never produce one specific catch (the Tench), so an early failed attempt is not proof of anything. Since patch 1.1.3 the Fishipedia shows the bait name after you kill a species once — use that display instead of older bait tables.
The new NPC
The patch adds an NPC. The official note does not give the character a name or a location, so this page does not invent one. Community reports about who the NPC is and what they sell remain unverified until cross-checked on the current build.
The new mini-boss
A new mini-boss creature was added. The launch achievement Competitive eating (“Eat a mini-boss”) lists the category from launch; 1.0.12/1.1.2 era reports that eat-able mini-bosses grew with the update match that achievement's wording. HP, damage and drops: not verified.
Three new achievements
Steam's achievement count went 28 → 31: Bilingual (earn your first euro), Hobin Rood (kill a creature with an arrow) and Money in a bottle (find money in a bottle). Details: full achievement list.
The other official changes
- A PEAK bundle was added to the Steam store (buy-the-two-games bundle — it does not imply a crossover quest.
- Some sound effects play at different volumes; old “audio bug” reports may just be the new mixing.
- The distance between each island changed — sailing routes and timers in older guides need re-checking.
Patches 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 (September 29, 2026)
- 1.1.2: reload rebinding, two new bow skins, shinier rod skins, wishbone upgrade pricing adjusted, mini-island radar dots enlarged, mini-island new-bait spawn 2 → 3, ironsight downgrade restored; fixed Tench not spawning from the new bait and the new mini-boss's triangle orientation.
- 1.1.3: the Fishipedia shows a creature's bait after you kill that species once.
- After updating, restart Steam if the patch does not appear — the dev notes say so directly.
